Questions 11-15
Jenny and Mark talk about their friends. Answer the questions. Choose A, B or C
Jenny
My friend, Maria, is quite tall and she is very good at sport. She has long black hair and has big dark brown eyes. She has a small nose but the other students in the class call her nosey. This is because she always wants to know everything about everybody. Of course, this is not a problem for me because we are friends and she knows everything about me.
She likes to wear very expensive clothes and she always looks very nice. My family cannot buy me expensive clothes but I don’t care because I prefer just to wear jeans and a T-shirt every day.
She is usually a good student, and she hates it if the teacher asks her something she doesn’t know. When the teacher asks her something and Maria does not know the answer her face gets very red and she looks down at her desk.
Of course, she likes it when she knows the answer but nobody else does. Then she smiles all the time. My other friends do not like Maria very much but I always tell them that she is a really good person and a good friend.
Mark
The name of my best friend is Timothy. We both love football and I also love basketball but Timothy doesn’t. He is a very good tennis player and says I should also play tennis. I know nothing about tennis.
Some weekends we go to the shopping mall together and visit all the sports shops. We sometimes buy small gifts from the sports shops but when we want something expensive we always go with our parents. Our parents are not rich but they say we can buy something once every two months. Next time I want to buy a new pair of football boots and Timothy wants to buy a new tennis racket and tennis balls.
Timothy loves reading and his mother says that he sits and reads for many hours in his room. I like reading too but not as much as Timothy does.
He is also a little fat and this is strange because he plays a lot of sport but his mother says this is because he eats too much chocolate. I also eat a lot of chocolate but I am thinner than him. Everybody likes Timothy because he always has a smile on his face and he is never sad. It is great to have a friend who is always happy.
